EDF OA solar purchase tariffs: the grid in force
In mainland France, the purchase obligation buys the electricity of solar installations on buildings, hangars and carports at a tariff the CRE publishes for each period. The grid that applies is the one in force on the date of the complete grid-connection request, for a contract of 20 years from commissioning.
In force since 5 June 2026: the single tariff TPa
| Installation (P+Q) | Surplus sale (c€/kWh) | Full sale (c€/kWh) |
|---|---|---|
| ≤ 3 kWp | 1.10 | not offered |
| 3–9 kWp | 1.10 | not offered |
| 9–36 kWp | 1.10 | 1.10 |
| 36–100 kWp | 1.10 | 1.10 |
| 100–500 kWp | not offered | not offered |
- This grid pays no investment prime.
- The tariff rises 2% at every contract anniversary.
- Each year, the energy bought at the tariff is capped at 1,600 hours of the installed power; beyond it, the energy is not eligible.

- P+Q: P is the peak power of the new installation, Q that of the other installations already on the site. A dash: not offered in that period.
- N2: the Cas B grid of the order of 28 July 2022, which producers could choose and pvSpline applies.
- N13b: the order of 26 March 2025 split N13 on 28 March 2025 and aligned the periods on calendar quarters from 1 April 2025.
- From N16, installations of 100 to 500 kWp left the purchase obligation for a simplified tender.
- TPa: the order of 1 June 2026 abolished the investment primes and set one tariff for surplus sale up to 100 kWp and full sale from 9 to 100 kWp.
How pvSpline applies them
Tick French incentives (CRE grid) on the Financial card and enter the grid-connection request date. The run picks the period, the band of your installation, the tariff and, where the grid has one, the prime and its payment schedule, and the report cites the grid it used. With no date, it applies the latest grid in this table. The financial analysis and the self-consumption simulation build on it.
IFER, for plants of 100 kW or more
Plants of 100 kW or more pay a yearly tax per kW installed, from 1 January of the year after grid connection. Plants commissioned since 1 January 2021 pay the reduced rate for their first 20 years of taxation, then the standard rate. Beyond 2026, pvSpline revalues the rates by 1.3% a year.
| Year | Standard rate (€/kW) | Reduced rate (€/kW) |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 8.51 | 3.542 |
| 2026 | 8.62 | 3.588 |
Questions
What is the surplus purchase tariff in 2026?
For a grid-connection request filed since 5 June 2026: 1.10 c€/kWh up to 100 kWp (the single tariff TPa). From 1 April 2026 to 4 June 2026: 4.00 c€/kWh up to 9 kWp and 4.73 c€/kWh from 9 to 100 kWp.
Is there still a self-consumption prime?
Not for a grid-connection request filed since 5 June 2026: that grid pays no investment prime. An earlier request keeps the prime of its own period’s grid, paid on its schedule.
Which date decides the tariff?
The date of the complete grid-connection request: it sets the period, whatever the commissioning date.
